The Ven. Dr Paul Wright
Paul is a retired Anglican priest. Paul has been involved in working in schools, both at primary and secondary levels of education since he was appointed a chaplain of a Church of England school in 1983. Paul has been a governor of several schools.
Paul has a passion for making sure that children and young people and those who teach them are able to experience excellent facilities and support that will enable both teacher and pupil to flourish. As an Anglican priest Paul has had the privilege of leading school assemblies both at primary and secondary level and has been on numerous committees working with the local schools in order to ensure a high quality for these events.
Paul has been closely involved with safeguarding training and takes this key element of school life very seriously.
Mark Andrews
Mark trained and worked as an Electronic Systems design and manufacturing Engineer in the Telecommunications sector for 18 years prior to entering further education as a lecturer. As Deputy Principal of the North Kent College, Mark now leads multidisciplinary teaching teams across 4 campuses, in a host of subject areas including Construction, Engineering, Business, Computing, Sport and Public Services.
Mark has extensive project management experience, as well as that of a Safeguarding Lead and a leader of organisational change.
Mark’s current role, leading on Apprenticeships and Skills for the College, involves work across Kent & Medway Civic and Employer bodies, and gives him extensive access to a network of external partners in industry and education policy makers.
Dr Alex Elwick
Alex is an Associate Professor at UCL, working at the Institute of Education. He has been the Head of Initial Teacher Education and currently leads a large postgraduate degree in Education, in the Department of Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment.
Alex has a doctorate from the University of Newcastle which explored learning in museums and art galleries, and has been a Fellow at the Library of Congress in Washington DC.
Alex has been a Trustee since 2019, and from 2019-2023 was also the Chair of Governors at Jubilee Primary School. He was previously a governor at Oxford Road Community School in Reading.
Reverend Michael (Mike) Leader BEd
Mike was associated with a Church of England Secondary School for 45 years, latterly as Deputy Headteacher, Finance director and Staff Chaplain. He has over 30 years’ experience as a school governor and is also chair of trustees for the Greenwich Bluecoat Foundation, an educational charity. He is currently chair of governors at Northwood Primary School and has been a trustee since 2018.
Mike has headed up the leadership team of an independent Christian Fellowship for over thirty years and is also Chair of Ecumenical Borough Deans in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, which involves relating to churches across the borough and acting as a liaison on behalf of the churches with the Leader and Chief Executive of the Council, as well as members and officers, and with the Borough Police Commander. He is also chair of Greenwich Church Leaders’ Forum.
He was a church organist for many years and still plays for occasional services to help local churches. Mike is a keen photographer and enjoys photographing birds and other wildlife.
Siobhan Morris
Siobhan is the UK Regulatory & Compliance Director of a global private equity firm, having joined the firm in November 2021. Prior to this, Siobhan served in several legal and compliance roles in the alternative investment management sector that have included interim Head of European Compliance for a premier boutique investment bank and Sole Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for a UK based credit focused hedge fund.
Siobhan is a UK qualified solicitor, having trained with Simmons & Simmons law firm. Siobhan received a Bachelors of Law from Queen Mary, University of London; a distinction in Masters in Employment Law from De Montfort University; a distinction in her Legal Practice Course from Nottingham Law School and a diploma in investment compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (“CISI”). Siobhan is also an external examiner for the CISI Global Financial Compliance course.
Matthew Phillips
Matthew is Director of Wealth Planning for Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management and is based in London. He is responsible for business development and bringing the acquired and existing financial planning businesses together to form one business.
Matthew started providing investment advice in 1996 when he joined Deloitte and worked with a range of pension schemes, trusts and high net worth individuals. He was responsible for the expansion and day to day management of Deloitte's financial planning in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He moved to become an Investment Director of Clear Financial Management, also providing advice to pension schemes, trusts and high net worth individuals and joined Broadstone, formerly BDO, in 2005. He was Managing Director of Broadstone Pensions & Investments Ltd until November 2014 and assisted with the sale of the business to Thomas Miller Investment in December 2014.
He became Managing Director of Thomas Miller Wealth Management and, following the sale, was responsible for driving growth in that business. In May of 2019 the business was sold to Canaccord Genuity where Matthew took up his current role.
Matthew is a member of the Personal Finance Society and has professional qualifications in investment management, portfolio construction and investment management within pensions. He has a first class honours degree in Geology from London University.
Tom Ward
Tom is a chartered accountant with 46 years of experience working in the accountancy profession. He has been a trustee of Trinitas since 2018.
After qualifying with a 10 partner firm, he moved to Moore Stephens where he progressed to partner, before retiring from the firm in April 2017. During his time at Moore Stephens he specialised in audit and in his latter years at Moore Stephens he specialised in the Charity and Education sector, where he developed his interest in the Academy sector, and had audit responsibility for 10 academies. He was a member of Moore Stephens’ own audit committee.
He currently provides consultancy services to a small number of clients, including academies and charities. He is a director of a multi-sport Sports Club and involved in the playing of hockey and tennis.
